Day Four
And it is as predicted, a collapse and a day's defeat for England. Oh well. On to the next test!
Day Three
Waking to see Warner and then Clarke had managed to his centuries on a flat pitch, the Australian lead gradually built. England bowled in a very laboured fashion, until Clarke declared at 401-7.
England have two days and 180 overs to survive, or be humiliated in four days of cricket.
Day Two
Starting well by finally getting teh Aussies out for 298, England got to 88-2 when the fifth session made the Test Match turn around for England. 6 Wickets down for 9 runs....disastrous batting. Bell, Pieterson, Root all out to soft deliveries and the game was on! Broad managed some fightback (improving his fantasy score in the process) but he was finally out with 136 on the board. The healthy lead was added to by Warner and Rogers before close of play had Australia effectively 220-0. More work to do.
Day One
Well England started well, reducing the old enemy to 130-6 but then those who have Haddin and Johnson in their teams will have been delighted with the fightback. England toiled!

TEST MATCH ONE
The Gabba, Brisbane
So Cook and Carbery had to survive atleast till close of play. Well one managed it and Trott followed his poor recent performances with another, by lobbing a catch to the fielder placed for just the sort of shot teh Australians wanted him to play. A dolly to Lyons.
